Kyoto or 京都市 in Japanese is a city in the central part of the island of Honshū, Japan. Kyoto is the former imperial capital of Japan and it is now the capital of Kyoto Prefecture. There are a lot of temples with about 1600 Buddhist temples and 400 Shinto shrines in Kyoto. I did not visit any of the temples though due to limited time there. I managed only to spend some time sightseeing and of course photographing at Tō-ji area.
