Japanese Delicacy

First of all, I would like to share about Ramen as I heard that Osaka has the best ramen shops. There are a lot of recommended ramen shops in Osaka such as Shitenno (四天王), Sodaisho (総大将), Kio (亀王), Men’ya Eguchi (麺屋えぐち), Kinryu Ramen (金龍ラーメン) and etc. As for myself, I think I prefer Kinryu Ramen the most because of the taste, price and it's open for 24 hours too ! You can recognize this shop by the giant dragon on the signboard.

Secondly, it's the Sashimi (刺身). Sashimi often is the first course or the apertizer in a formal Japanese meal, but it can also be the main course. Sashimi is normally served only with a dipping sauce (soy sauce with wasabi paste) or perhaps without anything in order to taste its freshness.

Next, it's Yakimono (焼き物) which are the grilled, broiled or pan-fried dishes. The ingredients are generally either marinated in sauce or salted. They're then skewered so they retain their shape and grilled over a hot fire so the skin (if any) is very crisp while the meat stays tender and juicy.

Nimono (煮物) are the stewed/simmered dishes such as fish, meat and vegetables that are simmered in a seasoned broth. The broth may be flavored with various seasonings including Dashi, Miso, fresh ginger, red chilies or simply salt.

Shabu-shabu (しゃぶしゃぶ) is a Japanese variant of hot pot. It usually uses thinly sliced meat (pork or beef) and vegetables and is usually served with dipping sauces.

Mushimono (蒸し物) are the steamed dishes. It usually contains tofu, chicken, fish or vegetables and sometimes treated with sake. The foods are steamed until soft and served hot. Chawanmushi is a popular example.

Agemono (揚げ物) are the deep-fried dishes. Tempura (天ぷら) is the most famous of the Japanese foods cooked in this manner.

There are also Aemono (和え物) and Tsukemono (漬け物). Aemono means "dressed foods" and referring to saladlike dishes combined with a dressing. As for Tsukemono, it is the general name for Japanese-style pickled vegetables which is often served with rice as okazu (side dish), with drinks as an otsumami (snack) or as  garnish for meals.

I've also tried Japanese foods prepared in western style ! or should I say western foods prepared in Japanese style.

There are some other foods I tried which I can't really catogarize them.

That's all I'm sharing and I would like to end this with a dessert !
