At year end like this, all photographers will most likely be taking out their tripod, cable/wireless shutter release and probably an ultra wide angle lens if they have one because of one main reason... Fireworks ! I read about articles on websites about photographing fireworks and all photographers recommended the equipment that I've mentioned earlier. Yesterday was my first try of shooting fireworks and from my experience yesterday, I would recommend one more equipment... a pair of sunglasses or a goggle. The flakes and dusts resulted from the explosions were flying all over the places preventing you from looking directly at it... I had to look through from my camera's viewfinder to enjoy the fireworks.. Also, you may expect some cleaning to do to your camera and lens after the event... Anyway, Happy New Year 2012 !!
